Bratislava’s position in the heart of Europe has made it a melting pot of cultures and the city boasts many Hungarian and Austrian features as well as Slovakian.
Explore the picturesque old town and see some of the architectural marvels that dot the medieval core. See the grandiose Primate’s Palace, a fairytale building painted in pink and white that is considered the most beautiful palace in the city. In fact, the whole of the centre is so picture-postcard pretty that you will be hard-pressed to decide which building you like the most. Perhaps it will be the Renaissance-style Town Hall or the blue Church of St Elizabeth, or maybe even the gloriously gothic St Martin’s Cathedral.
After discovering this historical and beautiful city and having seen its most iconic landmarks, enjoy free time to meander the streets at your own leisure. There is so much to see and do in Slovakia's capital city, why not take a stroll down St Michael’s Street and take a photo or two of the medieval St Michael’s Gate, browse the shops or relax and unwind in one of its many traditional restaurants.
