Get to know the wonderful City of Puebla, streets, neighbourhoods and culture.
As a first point we will visit the Palafoxiana Library, the first public library in America, a library that was founded in 1646 with the donation of 5 thousand volumes, following our tour we will arrive at the Cathedral Basilica of Puebla better known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Concepción, according to its Marian invocation, is the episcopal seat of the Archdiocese of Puebla and one of the most important buildings in the historic centre declared a World Heritage Site.
We will arrive at the historic centre of the City where the main city square is also located. We walk through the traditional May 5 street until we reach the Chapel of the Rosary considered the Eighth Wonder of the New World. We will also take a walk through the street of sweets and a tasting of typical sweets and liquors.
Without forgetting to visit the artist's neighbourhood, it is an artistic space located in what is known as Plazuela del Torno or del Factor, the artists work and exhibit their work in view of the tourists and citizens who visit this corridor. We will visit the Handicraft Market where you can find more sweets, Talavera, souvenirs from Puebla and other beautiful crafts.
We conclude with a visit to the Callejon de Los Sapos, it is said that in colonial times the waters of the San Francisco River overflowed frequently, flooding the Callejon de la 6 Sur. People made use of the rising river and installed some mills there. However, the stagnant water and the activities carried out in it attracted a large number of toads, a fact that gave rise to the current name of the road.
