Centuries ago Buda was the seat of power but by the 19th century, the flatter Pest side began to grow in importance and the Hungarian parliament was built there. The building is a masterpiece of Gothic revival architecture and you will have the chance to study it in detail.

 Such is Budapest’s beauty that it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter and the awe-inspiring Andrássy Avenue. See these sights and more as you explore the city in the afternoon.
