The Quatrilho with Café da Colônia
  • The Quatrilho with Café da Colônia

    $36.63Price
Touring the countryside of Gramado, discovering beautiful properties, and enjoying delicious coffee from the colony are what awaits those who choose the O Quatrilho Tour. In the communities of Campestre do Tigre and Linha Tapera - where the protagonists of the book and film O Quatrilho lived, you will be dazzled by valleys, viewpoints, mountains, and streams. A unique and picturesque nature.

Gastronomy is the strong point of Tour O Quatrilho. Café da Colônia is made with great care by the Ramm Family and has traces of German colonization. Cooked sausage, salami, colonial cheese, smoked loin, omelet, mustards, pepper jelly, pickles, various cakes, bread, cream, schmiers and jams, Apfelstrudel, homemade biscuits, sprinkled breadcrumbs, milk, coffee, tea, grape juice, and wine are included in the package.

The first stop is at the Lazaretti Family House, which since 1880 has taken root in a small piece of land in the interior of Gramado. Today, the fourth generation continues the cultivation of vines and the elaboration of colonial and graspa wine.

The tour continues to the Grings Mill, built in the late 19th century by the Trentin and Dal Ri families. It was these families that, a few years later, gave rise to an unusual story that became a movie: O Quatrilho. In 1952 the property passed to the Grings family, continuing with the work of the mill, revitalizing it to the demand of the time, processing wheat, corn, rye, and rice, and also carrying out other activities such as agriculture and animal husbandry.
